Celtics make history by attempting zero free throws

The Boston Celtics made history in their 104-91 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks by becoming the first team in NBA history to attempt zero free throws in a game.

Celtics guard Jayson Tatum led Boston in scoring, recording 22 points, six assists and five rebounds, however none of Tatum’s 22 points came from the charity stripe. The only free throw made in the game came with 19 seconds remaining in the first quarter when Bucks forward-center Giannis Antetokounmpo was fouled and made 1-2 shots from the free throw line.

These were also the only two free throws attempted in the entire game, and neither team returned to the stripe, leaving all points to be scored from the field.
