Coby White poured in 27 points and knocked down six 3-pointers as the Chicago Bulls set the tone early and never let up in a 138-110 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night.
White followed up his season-high seven 3s against Brooklyn on Sunday by leading a torrid shooting performance that saw Chicago tie a franchise record with 25 made 3-pointers on 47 attempts. The Bulls surged past a Clippers team that entered the night riding a six-game winning streak.
Matas Buzelis scored 21 points, Ayo Dosunmu added 18 and Kevin Huerter finished with 14, with all three connecting on four shots from beyond the arc. Nikola Vucevic chipped in 19 points and eight rebounds as Chicago controlled the game from start to finish.
The Bulls led by 21 at halftime after exploding for 45 points in the second quarter and pushed the margin back out after the Clippers briefly made things interesting in the third.
James Harden paced Los Angeles with 24 points, while John Collins scored 23 and matched a season high with five 3-pointers. Kawhi Leonard missed his third straight game with a sprained right ankle and bruised left knee.
Chicago seized control midway through the second quarter, turning a one-point deficit into a commanding lead with a 22-6 run sparked by Vucevic and capped by back-to-back 3s from Dosunmu. Los Angeles cut the deficit to six midway through the third, but the Bulls quickly responded with a decisive 17-3 run to put the game away.
