Derrick White scored 22 points, and Neemias Queta added 14 points and 13 rebounds as the Boston Celtics pulled away in the third quarter to beat the Phoenix Suns 97-81 on Tuesday night.
Sam Hauser added 16 points, hitting 4 of 10 from 3-point range, as Boston — playing without All-Star Jaylen Brown (right knee contusion) — won its fourth straight game and ninth in the last 10. Baylor Scheierman contributed a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Collin Gillespie led the Suns with 15 points, and Grayson Allen added 14. Phoenix, missing its top two scorers, Devin Booker (right hip strain) and Dillon Brooks (left hand fracture), lost for the fourth time in five games. Booker and Brooks average nearly 46 points per game combined.
The Celtics led 50-46 at halftime before dominating the third quarter, outscoring Phoenix 30-11, including a decisive 16-0 run. Boston also controlled the glass, outrebounding the Suns 61-34.
