San Antonio SPurs

San Antonio Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox is headed back to the NBA All-Star Game.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced that Fox will replace Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been ruled out with a right calf strain. Fox will suit up for USA Stripes, while Miami Heat guard Norman Powell will shift from USA Stripes to Team World to balance the rosters.

The selection marks Fox’s second All-Star appearance and his first since the 2022-23 season. In his ninth NBA campaign, the 6-foot-3 guard is averaging 19.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.27 steals across 45 games. He also earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Emirates NBA Cup 2025 after posting 22.3 points, 7.7 assists and 2.00 steals per game while leading San Antonio to the championship game.

Fox has been a key piece in the Spurs’ resurgence this season, helping guide the team to a 38-16 record and second place in the Western Conference entering the break. He joins teammate Victor Wembanyama, who will represent Team World, and Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson, who will lead USA Stripes.

Antetokounmpo, a 10-time All-Star and fan-elected starter, was originally assigned to Team World before being sidelined by injury.

The 75th NBA All-Star Game will be played Sunday, Feb. 15 at 5 p.m. ET at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The game will air on NBC and Peacock and will feature a round-robin mini-tournament format with USA Stars, USA Stripes and Team World competing in four 12-minute games.
