Jaren Jackson Jr. poured in 30 points, Ty Jerome added 19 and the Memphis Grizzlies shook off a late push to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 137-128 on Monday night, snapping a six-game losing streak.

Memphis used a strong third quarter to build a 20-point cushion and maintained control through much of the fourth. Minnesota threatened behind Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo, but the Grizzlies never allowed the Timberwolves to get closer than nine points down the stretch.

Jaylen Wells finished with 18 points for Memphis, while Cam Spencer and Vince Williams Jr. chipped in 16 apiece. The Grizzlies rebounded after a loss to Minnesota two nights earlier, when they struggled mightily from long range.

Edwards led all scorers for Minnesota with 39 points and seven rebounds. Jaden McDaniels added 29 points and DiVincenzo scored 21, including 13 in the fourth quarter, as the Timberwolves saw their four-game winning streak come to an end.

After shooting poorly from beyond the arc in Saturday’s loss, Memphis flipped the script early Monday. The Grizzlies knocked down eight of their first 15 3-point attempts to seize a double-digit lead in the first half and went into the break up 66-58.

Memphis stretched the margin to 98-86 after three quarters, then opened the fourth by hitting its first four shots — three of them from deep — to push the lead to 109-89 and blunt Minnesota’s comeback hopes.
