Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies rallied from a double-digit deficit Friday night, storming back in the second half to defeat the Utah Jazz 123-114 and snap a four-game losing streak.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper led the way with 23 points, while GG Jackson added 20, including a dagger 3-pointer that pushed the lead to 16 with 4:31 remaining. Eight of the nine available Memphis players scored in double figures in a balanced effort from a short-handed rotation.

Memphis trailed by 14 in the first half and went into the break down 67-55. But the Grizzlies flipped the game with a dominant third quarter, using a 21-6 run to seize control and build a 10-point edge early in the fourth.

Utah was paced by Isaiah Collier’s 24 points, while Kyle Filipowski and Ace Bailey scored 20 apiece. The Jazz were without leading scorer Lauri Markkanen, who was a late scratch due to illness. Keyonte George, Jusuf Nurkić and Jaren Jackson Jr.In

The matchup featured two Western Conference teams battling near the bottom of the standings, with Memphis entering 11th and Utah 13th.

Despite being down nine players because of various ailments, the Grizzlies leaned on energy and depth to pull away late.
