The Predictors

Jalen Johnson powered the Atlanta Hawks with 23 points and a career-high 18 rebounds, recording his NBA-leading 30th double-double as Atlanta rallied past the Phoenix Suns 110–103 on Friday night.

The Hawks trailed 91–84 late in the third quarter before the game swung following an injury to Devin Booker. The Suns star scored a team-high 31 points to go with four rebounds and three assists before exiting with a right ankle injury, and Atlanta seized the momentum from there.

Onyeka Okongwu led the Hawks in scoring with 25 points, while CJ McCollum added 21 off the bench to extend his double-digit scoring streak to 34 games. McCollum, along with Corey Kispert, was acquired in an early January trade with Washington that sent Trae Young to the Wizards.

Atlanta closed the game with authority, outscoring Phoenix 26–12 in the fourth quarter while shooting efficiently throughout the night. The Hawks finished 43-of-81 from the field and knocked down 13 of 26 shots from beyond the arc.

The victory marked Atlanta’s second win in two games after snapping a five-game losing streak earlier in the week against Memphis. The Hawks were again shorthanded, playing without Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles tendinitis), Zaccharie Risacher (left knee contusion) and N’Faly Dante (torn ACL).

It was the second and final meeting between the teams this season, with Atlanta sweeping the series after also edging Phoenix 124–122 in mid-November.
