The Sacramento Kings dominated the Chicago Bulls 126–110 Sunday night behind a historic performance from Russell Westbrook.
Westbrook recorded 23 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds, marking his NBA-record 208th career triple-double. Playing 35 minutes, he shot 7 of 17 from the field with three three-pointers. The nine-time All-Star now sits just one assist shy of passing Mark Jackson for sixth on the NBA’s all-time assists list, and this was his fourth triple-double of the season. His closest competitor in career triple-doubles is Nikola Jokić of the Denver Nuggets, with 181.
Rookie Maxine Raynaud added a 26-point, 11-rebound double-double, while Malik Monk scored 30 points. Daeqwon Plowden contributed 16 points, and Precious Achiuwa added 13 as Sacramento earned its third win in 23 games.
Chicago received standout performances from Collin Sexton, who scored 28 points off the bench including seven three-pointers, and Josh Giddey, who recorded a triple-double with 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Matas Buzelis scored 20 points, while Nick Richards had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Sacramento built an early double-digit lead in front of a half-filled home crowd and never looked back. The Kings dominated inside, outscoring the Bulls 68–36 in the paint. In the first half, Raynaud (18), Monk (14), and Westbrook (10) combined to shoot 16-for-29, propelling Sacramento to a 65–51 halftime lead.
