Jalen Brunson scored 30 points and dished out nine assists as the New York Knicks rallied from a 21-point deficit to defeat the short-handed Golden State Warriors 110–107 on Sunday night.

Karl-Anthony Towns recorded 17 points and 12 rebounds for New York, while OG Anunoby and Jordan Clarkson each added 14 points. The Knicks looked sluggish early in their first game back from a five-game road trip but eventually surged to their third straight win.

New York briefly led in the opening minutes before trailing for most of the game. The Knicks didn’t reclaim the advantage until the final minutes of the third quarter, when Brunson scored on back-to-back baskets to put them ahead.

Golden State received 25 points from Brandin Podziemski, while Quentin Post posted a career-high 22 points and Gui Santos finished with 20.

The Warriors were severely shorthanded. Stephen Curry missed his 17th straight game with right knee pain and inflammation. Seth Curry is expected to miss at least a week with a left groin strain, and Al Horford is also sidelined for at least a week because of a left calf strain.

Golden State also rested Draymond Green, Kristaps Porzingis and De'Anthony Melton on the first night of a back-to-back. The Warriors used their 11th different starting lineup in the last 11 games and their 34th of the season.

Despite the absences, Golden State started strong, taking a 35–21 lead after the first quarter and stretching the margin to 46–25 on a follow-up basket by Post midway through the second. The Knicks trimmed the deficit to 54–45 by halftime.

New York eventually pushed ahead in the second half, but the Warriors remained within striking distance down the stretch. After Anunoby hit two free throws with 6.2 seconds remaining, Golden State turned the ball over before it could attempt a final shot.
