The Detroit Pistons strengthened their grip on the Eastern Conference’s top seed with a 109-87 win over the injury-depleted Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday. Tobias Harris led a balanced Pistons attack with 18 points, while Jalen Duren added a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds. Five other Detroit players reached double figures, including Daniss Jenkins and Ronald Holland II with 13 points each.

Minnesota, missing entity Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, and Ayo Dosunmu Donte DiVincenzo led the Timberwolves with 22 points, while Rudy Gobert added 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Detroit opened the game with a 33-24 first-quarter lead, highlighted by quick points from Paul Reed and Caris LaVert. Minnesota briefly cut the halftime deficit to five on a 10-2 second-quarter run fueled by DiVincenzo, but the Pistons pulled away in the second half to secure the comfortable victory.
