Cade Cunningham delivered a dominant all-around performance, finishing with 29 points and 11 assists as the Detroit Pistons rolled past the Sacramento Kings 139-116 on Sunday night.
Detroit, which leads the Eastern Conference, bounced back from a home loss to Houston on Friday to win for the fifth time in six games and improve to 33-11. After the teams were knotted at 35 at the end of the first quarter, the Pistons seized control in the second, erupting for a 43-30 advantage that set the tone for the rest of the night.
Cunningham shot 13 of 22 from the field, including 3 of 5 from beyond the arc. Jalen Duren provided an efficient interior presence with 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting, while Tobias Harris chipped in 16 points.
Malik Monk paced Sacramento with 19 points, and DeMar DeRozan added 16 as the Kings dropped their fifth straight game and fell to 12-35.
Domantas Sabonis continued his return from a knee injury, playing his fifth game after a two-month absence. He totaled 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting to go along with eight assists and seven rebounds in just under 25 minutes.
