The Phoenix Suns ended the Charlotte Hornets’ 10-game road winning streak with a 111–99 victory Sunday night.
Devin Booker led the way with 30 points and 10 assists, going 1-for-6 from three-point range but a perfect 15-for-15 from the free-throw line. Collin Gillespie and Jalen Green each scored 24 points, while Rasheer Fleming contributed 16 off the bench, including four three-pointers, helping Phoenix win four of its last five games.
Charlotte was paced by LaMelo Ball points**, while Miles Bridges added 16, Kon Knueppel had 15, and Brandon Miller scored 11, all in the first half. Despite Knueppel going 2-for-8 from three, the rookie still leads the NBA with 224 made threes. The Hornets’ streak was the longest road winning streak in the NBA since the 2019–20 Lakers went 11 straight away from home, and Charlotte hadn’t lost on the road since Jan. 17 at Golden State.
The game was tight through the first half, with Phoenix holding a 60–58 lead at the break. Green scored 20 points and Booker had 14 in the opening two quarters.
The Suns played without starters Dillon Brooks (hand fracture) and Mark Williams (foot fracture), and key reserve Grayson Allen missed the game with a sore right knee. Phoenix has now won three of its last four heading into a six-game road stretch.
Up next: Charlotte will continue its road trip Tuesday at the Portland Trail Blazers, while the Suns visit the Milwaukee Bucks the same night.
