Dillon Brooks scored 21 points and Grayson Allen added 19 as the Phoenix Suns pulled away early and cruised past the Memphis Grizzlies 117-98 on Wednesday night.

Facing his former team, Brooks was especially sharp in the first half, scoring 18 points as Phoenix built a comfortable cushion. Allen, who also spent two seasons in Memphis, knocked down 5 of 10 shots from beyond the arc and finished 7 of 13 overall. Devin Booker had 13 points for the Suns but struggled from the floor, shooting 6 of 15.

Phoenix bounced back from a narrow loss to Houston on Monday and has now won seven of its last nine games.

The short-handed Grizzlies were led by Jaren Jackson Jr., who scored 19 points. Cam Spencer, Javon Small and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope each added 14, but Memphis struggled to take care of the ball, committing 18 turnovers that Phoenix converted into 25 points.

The Suns stretched the lead to 22 early in the third quarter and quickly answered a brief Memphis push. Continued turnovers by the Grizzlies helped Phoenix carry a 91-68 advantage into the fourth, allowing the Suns to comfortably close out the game.

With just 10 available players due to injuries, Memphis coach Tuomas Iisalo had limited options to manage minutes, even as the deficit grew. The Grizzlies were playing the second night of a back-to-back after a one-point win over San Antonio on Tuesday, one of their few victories this season against teams with winning records.

Unlike an earlier meeting in late October, a one-point Memphis win sealed by a Ja Morant floater, the Grizzlies were without Morant this time, along with seven other rotation players.
