Golden State Warriors

Will Richard scored 21 points, and Brandin Podziemski and Gary Payton II added 19 apiece as Golden State rolled past Memphis on Wednesday night in a matchup of injury-depleted teams.

Gui Santos chipped in 17 points as eight of the nine Warriors who saw action reached double figures. Malevy Leons just missed out with nine points. Golden State used a dominant 29-8 run in the second quarter to seize control, building a 74-53 halftime lead before stretching the margin to 32 in the fourth.

GG Jackson led Memphis with 24 points and eight rebounds, while Ty Jerome had 22 points and five assists. Javon Small added 16 for the Grizzlies, who have now dropped 12 of their last 15 games and fell into a tie for 12th in the Western Conference.

Both teams were severely short-handed. The Warriors were without Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler, while the Grizzlies were missing Ja Morant, Zach Edey and Cedric Coward. Kyle Anderson was ruled out for personal reasons shortly before tipoff.

Golden State, which began the night eighth in the West, bounced back after a loss in New Orleans on Tuesday.
