Jimmy Butler scored 16 points and Stephen Curry dished out 11 assists as the Golden State Warriors pulled away early and cruised to a 119–97 victory over the injury-depleted Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night.

Curry struggled to find his shooting touch, finishing with seven points on 2-for-9 shooting, but orchestrated the offense effectively in recording his second game this season with double-digit assists and the 148th such performance of his career. Butler added six rebounds and five assists as Golden State controlled the game throughout.

The Warriors took command early, opening the night by hitting 14 of their first 22 shots, including 8 of 15 from 3-point range, to build a 38–22 lead after the first quarter. Golden State carried a season-best 26-point advantage into halftime and never looked back.

De’Anthony Melton led all scorers with a season-high 23 points off the bench for the Warriors, marking his fifth double-digit scoring effort in the last six games and his second 20-point performance of the season. Gui Santos contributed across the board, including a career-high four steals.

In a historic shooting night, the teams combined for an NBA-record 21 different players to make at least one 3-pointer, according to Elias Sports Bureau.

Shaedon Sharpe paced Portland with 19 points, while Caleb Love added 17 points and seven assists. The Trail Blazers, who had won all three previous meetings with Golden State this season, were without leading scorer Deni Avdija (lower back soreness) and started two two-way players as a result.

Portland dropped its second straight game after a loss to New York on Sunday ended a five-game winning streak.
