Stephen Curry scored 27 points, Moses Moody poured in 26, and the Golden State Warriors rode a barrage of 3-pointers to a 140-124 victory over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night.
Golden State knocked down 23 shots from beyond the arc and took control early, never trailing after the first quarter. Moody led the perimeter assault with five 3-pointers, while Gui Santos added 16 points off the bench as the Warriors showcased their depth and shooting.
Utah made a push late, trimming a 22-point deficit to 108-100 early in the fourth quarter after a pair of free throws by Isaiah Collier. Curry quickly halted the momentum with back-to-back baskets, and the Warriors put the game away with a decisive 20-2 run that stretched the lead to 136-109 with 3:29 remaining.
Golden State was scorching from long range in the first half, hitting 15 of 31 3-pointers with eight different players connecting from deep. Buddy Hield and Moody each knocked down three before halftime. Hield’s back-to-back 3s early in the second quarter capped a 19-8 run that gave the Warriors a 40-24 advantage.
Curry helped Golden State build its largest lead of 22 in the third quarter, pushing it to 91-69 at the free-throw line.
Brice Sensabaugh led Utah with 22 points off the bench. Keyonte George finished with 19 points and seven assists, Ace Bailey also scored 19, and Lauri Markkanen added 18 as the Jazz couldn’t keep pace with Golden State’s shooting.
