Alec Pierce isn’t going anywhere—but his paycheck is about to get a major upgrade. The Indianapolis Colts wide receiver has agreed to a four-year, $114 million deal, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Monday.

The deal includes $84 million in guarantees, with $60 million fully guaranteed at signing, and could be worth up to $116 million over its term. Pierce was playing on the final year of his rookie contract in 2025, which paid $3.65 million.

The 25-year-old had a breakout season, hauling in 47 receptions for 1,003 yards—his first 1,000-yard campaign—along with six touchdowns. Known as one of the NFL’s premier field-stretchers, Pierce has led the league in yards per catch for the past two seasons (22.3 in 2024, 21.3 in 2025).

Pierce, a 2022 second-round pick, was on many teams’ radar as a potential franchise tag candidate, but the Colts were able to keep him in-house while also placing the transition tag on quarterback Daniel Jones, who is recovering from a torn Achilles. The move preserves one of the league’s most dynamic QB-WR tandems for the future.

For Colts general manager Chris Ballard and head coach Shane Steichen, retaining Pierce is a cornerstone of their offseason plan. The pair was instrumental in the team’s strong 7-1 start last season, and with Pierce back under center with Jones, the Colts are hoping their best seasons are still ahead.

Even without a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Indianapolis has shown it can make big moves—sometimes by keeping its top-tier talent right where it is.
