The Buffalo Bills are adding another veteran presence to their pass rush.
Edge rusher Bradley Chubb has agreed to a three-year, $43.5 million contract with Buffalo, according to reports Wednesday. The deal includes $29 million guaranteed and could reach $52.5 million with incentives.
Chubb became available after the Miami Dolphins decided to move on from him as part of a broader salary-cap reset under new leadership. News of the split surfaced in mid-February, giving the two-time Pro Bowler time to explore the market before his release—with a post–June 1 designation—became official at the start of the new league year.
It didn’t take long for Chubb to land a new opportunity, signing with Buffalo less than an hour after free agency officially opened.
The former 2018 first-round pick spent four seasons in Miami, recording 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and 47 tackles in 17 games during the 2025 season. Across three active years with the Dolphins—he missed the entire 2024 campaign with a torn ACL—Chubb totaled 22 sacks, 133 tackles, nine forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in 41 games while playing in a defense that changed coordinators multiple times.
The signing mirrors a similar move by Buffalo last offseason. In 2025, general manager Brandon Beane brought in veteran pass rusher Joey Bosa on a one-year deal. Bosa started 15 games and recorded five sacks and a league-high five forced fumbles, but the partnership lasted just one season after inconsistent play and uneven postseason performances.
Chubb now steps into the spot left by Bosa and joins a defensive front that includes edge rusher Gregory Rousseau and defensive tackle Ed Oliver.
Buffalo’s multiyear commitment suggests the team believes Chubb can play a meaningful role in its defense beyond the 2026 season, as the Bills look for him to regain the form that once made him one of the league’s top edge rushers.
