The Los Angeles Chargers have begun overhauling their offensive line, agreeing to terms with center Tyler Biadasz on a three-year, $30 million contract, NFL Network insiders Ian Rapoport, Mike Garafolo, and Tom Pelissero reported Friday.

Biadasz, 28, was released by the Washington Commanders earlier this offseason, allowing him to sign a new deal before the start of the league year on Wednesday. He also met with the Chicago Bears and had additional meetings scheduled, but ultimately opted for the opportunity and contract in Los Angeles, joining a team with a clear need at center.

The deal highlights the strong market for experienced offensive linemen this offseason. Biadasz was slated to earn $8.3 million in Washington for 2026, but his new contract represents a significant raise as he moves across the country.

A former Pro Bowler with the Dallas Cowboys, Biadasz has started at least 15 games in each of the last five seasons. While he may not rank among the league’s top centers, he is a proven and reliable veteran who excels in both run blocking and pass protection. He replaces Bradley Bozeman, who struggled at center last season and retired this offseason, giving the Chargers an immediate upgrade at the position.

Los Angeles still has several holes to address along the line, particularly at guard and as a backup swing tackle, with starters Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater coming off season-ending injuries. While the line overhaul is far from complete, signing Biadasz answers one of the Chargers’ most pressing questions heading into free agency.
