The Miami Dolphins are turning inward to fill their offensive coordinator vacancy.

Miami is expected to promote senior passing game coordinator Bobby Slowik to offensive coordinator, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday afternoon.

Slowik, 38, joined the Dolphins ahead of the 2025 season after spending the previous two years as the Houston Texans’ offensive coordinator. His work in Houston drew widespread praise, particularly during C.J. Stroud’s breakout rookie campaign in 2023.

That season, Slowik helped guide the Texans to an AFC South title and a trip to the Divisional Round while overseeing one of the league’s most efficient attacks. Houston finished inside the top 12 in total offense and ranked seventh in passing, with Stroud earning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

Now, Slowik is set to take on a larger role in Miami as the Dolphins look to build continuity on offense and take the next step under his direction.
