The Philadelphia Eagles are adding a familiar name to their wide receiver corps, signing Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown to a one-year deal reportedly worth up to $6.5 million.

A 2019 first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens, Brown enjoyed a career-high 1,008 yards in 2021 but has struggled with injuries and inconsistent production since. After two injury-affected seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, he spent the last two years with the Kansas City Chiefs A.J. Brown trade rumors, but the move doesn’t appear to alter the Eagles’ plans. According to sources, the decision to trade A.J. would hinge on price and opportunity rather than who is currently on the roster.

Whether or not A.J. stays, Brown provides veteran depth in the slot or as a third option, offering field-stretching ability that complements DeVonta Smith. Should A.J. be moved, Brown could step in as a reliable No. 2 option, helping maintain balance at the position.

With the deal structured “up to” $6.5 million, the Eagles gain proven experience without a major salary cap impact. Brown adds depth, versatility, and experience to the receiving room, while keeping roster flexibility for potential draft additions or other playmakers.
