Logan Wilson is calling it a career after six seasons in the NFL, the veteran linebacker announced Wednesday.
Originally selected in the third round of the 2020 draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, Wilson quickly developed into a key piece of the defense. He spent the majority of his career in Cincinnati before being dealt to the Dallas Cowboys at the 2025 trade deadline, marking the final stop in his NFL journey.
Reflecting on his path, Wilson expressed gratitude for the opportunity to go from a small-town upbringing in Wyoming to the professional level, noting that his career exceeded anything he once imagined. His message emphasized appreciation for every moment on the field and the rarity of achieving that dream.
Wilson, 29, appeared in 83 games with 66 starts, including 76 contests with the Bengals. During his peak, he was one of the league’s most productive linebackers, recording four consecutive 100-tackle seasons from 2021 through 2024. He finished with 565 total tackles, along with 11 interceptions and 26 pass breakups.
His rise coincided with one of the most successful stretches in recent Bengals history. Wilson played a central role in Cincinnati’s run to Super Bowl LVI and their return to the AFC Championship Game the following season, helping anchor a defense that powered multiple deep playoff pushes.
After a brief stint in Dallas and his release earlier this offseason, Wilson now steps away from the game having carved out a productive and respected career built on consistency, instincts, and leadership in the middle of the defense.
