The Seattle Seahawks are keeping wide receiver and return specialist Rashid Shaheed in the fold, signing him to a three-year, $51 million deal, according to NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
Shaheed joined Seattle via a midseason trade from the New Orleans Saints in 2025 and quickly became a key deep threat during the Seahawks’ run to a Super Bowl LX victory. While his stat line in nine regular-season games with Seattle — 15 catches for 188 yards — wasn’t flashy, his speed and field-stretching ability forced defenses to respect the downfield threat, helping Jaxon Smith-Njigba set new franchise receiving records.
Shaheed’s explosive playmaking was crucial in the postseason, highlighted by a 51-yard reception in Seattle’s NFC Championship win over the Los Angeles Rams. He also contributed as the team’s primary kick returner, taking back kicks for touchdowns in both the regular season and the wild-card round, earning his second Pro Bowl nod as a returner.
Before coming to Seattle, Shaheed had 44 catches for 499 yards and two touchdowns in nine games with the Saints. Now, with a full offseason and experience in Seattle’s system, he’s expected to be an even more integral piece of the Seahawks’ high-powered offense in 2026 and beyond.
